About
When I started blogging late in 2001 the idea was that it would be a place where I could write about my experiences, record my memories, and maybe even write a little bit of fiction. It would be mostly anecdotal—a seed of truth in everything I wrote. Little did I know then that politics, and a war would consume the nation and supplant my good intentions with rants and such on religion, philosophy, and politics. Onegoodmove is where I do that.
Somewhere along the way I let my initial goals slide and wrote less of what I had intended when I began. That changed a couple of years ago when I decided to separate my anecdotal writing from the other, and Mostly Anecdotal was born.
I transferred much of what I’d written at onegoodmove that was true to my original vision, and since have continued to write here, not as often as I’d like but more often than I would have there. I get thousands of visitors each day at the onegoodmove site, and only a handful here. But, it is here that I most enjoy writing.
I may someday give up maintaining the onegoodmove blog. Anyone who is really paying attention realizes that I’ve already moved on. But here, where I write for myself, for a few friends, and for you if you’re interested, I have no intention of quitting. The stories are mostly true. Do I embellish? I do. Do I add bits? I do, though not as often as you might think. Leave a comment if you like, or share a story from your own life.
